All about Peugeot - Energy saver tyres During the development of the 308 project, Peugeot included Michelin in its innovation programme. The objective was to significantly reduce tyre rolling resistance, without affecting its high level of grip and safety performance, while ensuring a mileage life equal to the best in the market. This work resulted in the development of a high-tech tyre for the 308, which is part of the brand new Michelin Energy Saver range.

By optimising rolling resistance by 20%, this tyre can reduce the quantity of energy needed to move the vehicle forward and can thus give a reduction in fuel consumption by comparison with the market average for a conventional tyre. It is fitted, in 15" and 16’’ sizes, on the 308 1.6 l HDi 66 and 80 kW (approx. 90 and 110 hp).
