308 SW

ENVIRONMENT

The latest generation of engine technology, combined with the aerodynamic profile of the car, weight control and even the use of Michelin energy-saving tyres have enabled the 308 SW to improve its efficiency towards environment.. Thus, it reveals fuel consumption figures, for a comparable engine, ranging from up to 10% less compared to the 307 SW.

FAP

Since 2000, HDi technology exclusive to PSA Peugeot Citroën, has been combined with a high performance emissions system; the Particulate Filter (FAP). Its filter eliminates Diesel particulates by reducing them to the measurable limit (0.004g/km). The FAP is a self-cleaning device used to process the gases resulting from diesel combustion inside the engine.

BVM5 - BVM6 : Manual Gearbox (5 or 6 gears) BVA4 - BVA6 : Automatic Gearbox (4 or 6 gears) *With energy saving tyres **Following 90/100/CE guidelines Fuel consumption figures in the above table correspond to homologated thresholds in accordance with EU regulations applicable to all manufacturers and all private vehicles sold in Europe. These figures are designed to help you compare cars and guide you in your decision: - Urban consumption represents a journey of around 4km in an urban environment. - Extra-urban consumption is based on a journey of around 7km in an extra-urban environment. - Mixed consumption corresponds to a journey of around 11km, based on an average for the two previous categories. These figures are based on strict test conditions (temperature, weight, test bench characteristics, etc.) under very sedate driving conditions. Actual driving conditions, weather, vehicle load, driving style, tyre pressure, use of a roof rack (even the bars alone), excessive use of air conditioning and/or heating, the car's overall condition can naturally produce results different from these homologated figures.
